HGV Driver – Temporary Contract

NPP is seeking to appoint a HGV driver on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

The successful candidate will support NPP’s transport operations by driving a company HGV and representing the business professionally with customers. The role requires a safe, reliable and organised approach, in line with company standards.

• A full C licence is required.
• CPD and Taco card in date
• Fluent English speaker.

Responsibilities:

• Complete daily vehicle safety checks, record them on the checklist, and ensure the vehicle is kept clean, secure and roadworthy.
• Review the daily delivery schedule with the transport supervisor and raise any queries, concerns or changes before departure.
• Load the vehicle safely, secure all products for transit, check delivery documentation and resolve any discrepancies before leaving the site.
• Deliver goods to customers in line with the agreed schedule, obtain signed delivery documentation and follow customer site safety instructions.
• Use the correct PPE where required, keep it available in the vehicle, and report any accidents, damage, customer issues or other concerns immediately to the transport supervisor.
• Return all documentation at the end of the day, park the vehicle securely, and complete other warehouse tasks as directed when not operating the vehicle.
